Today was the day that all the Reception children made a pancake. The children spent time finding out about the three ingredients that make pancakes. The children had a close look at the package of the flour, milk and eggs. The children all had a go at mixing the ingredients together to make the batter. The children commented on how the eggs turned the milk yellow and said that it was the egg yolk. The children were ensuring that there weren't any lumps in the mixture. 

The children selected the topping they required for their pancake before eating it. The children's individual photos are in their Learning Journals. What an exciting day we had!
