We currently have a vacancy for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
1:1 Teaching Assistant
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant primarily to work with a child/ren with specific needs.
The successful candidate would have a commitment to building a strong professional relationship with the child/ren to support their communication and learning needs.
Hours of work would be Monday to Friday inclusive 8:40a.m. to 3:20p.m. with a 30 minute lunch break.
Grade: G3 06 Salary: £1430.20 (if under 5 years’ experience with LCC) or £1490.71 (if over 5 years’ experience with LCC) per calendar month
Start Date 1st January 2026
Ideally, we are looking for a 1:1 teaching assistant who:
• Has experience of working with children across the primary ages
• Has successfully completed relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or are prepared to undertake relevant training
• Is able to work on their own initiative or as part of a team and have the experience to adapt learning materials and resources to meet the child’s needs
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
