SAFEGUARDING

Safeguarding our children at The John Harrox Primary School is extremely important to us.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children refers to the process of protecting children from maltreatment, preventing the impairment of children’s health or development, ensuring that children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care and taking action to enable all children to have the best life chances.

Our safeguarding policy and further information have been attached as extra documents below.

Our designated safeguarding leads (DSL) are:

Mr. Daniel Pilsworth                                                 Mrs Sharon Amess

The above staff can be contacted at enquiries@johnharrox.lincs.sch.uk or on 01406 370426.

We have a governor who is responsible for checking our safeguarding policies and procedures - making sure that we are doing everything we can to keep our school and community as safe as it can be. Our safeguarding Governor is Ms Isobel Slator.

Reporting Concerns

If you suspect or believe a child is suffering, or is likely to suffer, significant harm (including any form of mistreatment or abuse) you should ALWAYS report your concerns. Our safeguarding leads can be contacted through the details given above.
In an emergency always dial 999.

While school is closed, should you have any safeguarding concerns, please email. If you feel a child is at imminent risk, our advice is to contact Children's Social Care on 01522 782111. If it is outside normal office hours you can contact the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) on 01522 782333.
