Passport Day - England
The children were very excited today to be visiting the capital city of England, which is London. We spent the morning looking at London as a city before comparing it to Moulton. The children then found London and Moulton on a map. Some children talked about their own experiences of visiting London. During the afternoon, the children were busy building London around the River Thames. They had a fabulous time building Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St Pauls Cathedral, The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Hyde Park, and The Shard. The children started with Tower Bridge and ensured it went over the River Thames. The children built their model to match the photograph. I was so impressed with their team work.
