PGL Day 3
Today has challenged all the children both mentally and physically. All the groups were challenged by a problem solving activity where they had to work together to move objects, transport a ball along piping or solve riddles together. It was great to see the children's resilience and determination to not give up.
The children were then pulled up to heady heights on the giant swing - releasing themselves suddenly to plummet at great speed. Many children were pulled to the highest point that the swing could start from but only the teachers gave out a scream (Miss Avery)!
No children were lost during the orienteering session!
All children have been to the rifle range today and many of them surprised themselves with their shooting accuracy.
Today's food has consisted of:
Breakfast - bacon, eggs, beans, toast and the usual cereals, fruit and yoghurt
Lunch - wraps, baguettes with varied fillings, leek and potato soup, salads
Tea - fish fingers and chips, vegetable tartlet with feta cheese, chicken curry, rice, naan, salads and chocolate Krispie cake.
The staff are incredibly proud of the way in which the children are supporting one another - their parents should be proud of them all; they are doing so well-being away from home and loving it!
