300 Forces and a Marathon

In History, we have been learning about the Ancient Greeks.

In History, we have been learning about the Ancient Greeks. To begin with, we looked at the different city states; particularly Athens and Sparta. Following on from this, we delved further into how the people lived in Sparta and Athens focusing on: the Education, Warfare, children and location. After this, we moved onto the Ancient Greeks at war discovering what a 'Hoplite' and a 'Trireme' were. Then, we created a detailed and well-labelled drawing or image of a Hoplite and what all of his attire was used for. In addition to this, we read and learned about three of their famous battles: The Battle of Marathon, The Battle of Thermopylae and The Battle of Salamis.

In Science, we have been learning about different forces and the children have produced some excellent pieces of homework showing their knowledge about many of them.
